Availability Exceptions
Exceptions for availability change requests are only needed if your availability policy is set to require exceptions for employees to request availability changes.
Notice the Availability Policy switch for "Allow Anytime" is set to off. This is when the need for availability exceptions is needed for employees to use their Shift Agent account to make a request to change their availability. If the policy is set to on, then there is no need to grant employees an exception token.
If you choose to restrict availability updates to only during campaigns, you may grant individual exceptions to employees at your discretion. It unlocks the ability for a team member to make a request to update their availability without you having to run an availability campaign. This lets you build a culture of responsibility for the employees to communicate their availability without you having to fill in the information for them.
Navigate to the employee profile for the person you want to grant the exception, and then click on the availability tab.
Click the Grant button to allow them to login to Shift Agent and request and availability change. There request will still require your approval to go into effect.
